the ladies at booking in reception were extremely professional and curtious
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The cleanliness could be improved.
I have nothing but praise for west Suffolk hospital, I have been treated there regularly for a few years now and the quality of care and the attitude of the staff has always been excellent!
Staff are polite and our overall experience of attending West Suffolk Hospital has been good.
My stay at West Suffolk Hospital was a short stay, three or four days, having been admitted for emergency treatment and while there I was treated by all the staff and doctors with great respect and care which I believe enabled me to recover quickly.
I found all the nursing staff and auxiliary staff very helpful and excellent care ring manner. Thank you all.
West Suffolk Hospital would always be my first choice of all the local hospitals, I have never had a real problem with them.
I found the staff on the ward did their best and came more or less when they were wanted, though i could have done with more information about when i was going to have my operation. Having arrived as requested @ 7.00am i then waited until 11.00 until having to ask when my op was scheduled for and then being told about 2.00, though in fact it was about 1 hour later. I realise the difficulties in knowing exactly when the op will be, but i think i could have been informed about the delay as waiting such a long time without information is very stressful + i was very dehydrated by the tme I went because of not being able to drink anything other than sips of water & then nothing at all after the aneasthetist saw me around 1.00
I also disliked the use of bays in what really amounts to a mixed ward, although everyone in each bay is the same sex, the bathroom facilities are shared for all intents and purposes and the area could be viewed from various patients beds - hardly respecting peoples privacy when they are ill and old and unable to deal with gaping gowns etc.
Easy to travel to. Very friendly hospital just like hospitals used to be before they got too big.
A positive experience all round.
